It’s another Thursday Special at Culture Box!

From the suburbs of Chicago and out of the city’s house music came a more fast paced style of rhythm and dance: footwork. Made to take young people from the streets and onto the floor, it always had a very strong connection with dancers, who will usually come to the studio with producers to see if the new tracks translates to the feet. With it’s syncopated drums and ever changing tempos it makes for a more erratic and intense experience that suddenly bursts into four to the floor, and our headliner tonight delivers exactly this.

Paypal has toured clubs throughout the world, from Europe to Asia to America. Live, Paypal is a psychedelic high octane club workout plan. His take on Juke and Footwork is kaleidoscopic and vivid, expanding on the Teklife template for a sound that looks backwards and forwards in equal measure.

Fap The Producer is a Copenhagen raised and based footwork/juke DJ, promoter and producer since 2013 and is one of the only danish curators of the genre. Fap hosts his Drumwerk show alongside Roger at the end of every month on MMH Radio, where they showcase juke, footwork, D&B and more.

Channel37 is resident at Ved Siden Af and It’s Alive, underground rebel of soulful machine music and dedicated promoter of live analogue electronic sound in Copenhagen and abroad.
