Birthdays are like shooting stars for they are spectacular moments in our life where we can make wishes in the blink of an eye.
We got ourselves the best present with Israeli superstar Guy J to headline the celebrations. He has established himself as one of the most sophisticated and emotive producers in electronic music of the last decade. Whether it be his sensual, hypnotic take on house music, his deeply textured techno or his wondrous ambient material, his work is always touched with a magic and emotion that few rival. He is the label owner of his very own imprint ‘Lost & Found’, a sub-label for John Digweed’s long running mothership where he releases music by himself and his favourite producers. With origins from the heart, Guy J’s sculptures of melody have developed a soul and a prolific life of their own.
The Night Bazaar just said: “Few DJs can claim to have had as much impact on their local club history as Copenhagen’s Culture Box resident Tim Andresen. Being the What Happens main man, Tim Andresen will be playing the opening and closing set in Black Box. His releases can be found on Tenampa Recordings, Re:FreshYourMind, Younan Music, Ready Mix Records and of course his own labels What Happens and Savoir Faire Musique. Music has taken Tim to nearly 40 different countries across Europe, Asia and South America and his musical talents have not gone unnoticed, and resulted in him landing the “Best DJ” award at Club Awards, and “Most Popular Nordic DJ” by Megamind.
Red Box is in the hands of some of the capital’s finest music aficionados Paxton Fettel, Ian Bang and Frederik Tollund. Paxton Fettel is one of Copenhagen’s finest producers in electronic music with most of his releases on Greta Cottage Workshop while also recently signing with Jimpster’s Delusions Of Grandeur. Ian Bang is arguably Copenhagen’s busiest radio host running several weekly shows as well as being a cornerstone in the CPH Deep collective and the IG60 parties. Last but not we welcome Frederik Tollund, one of the finest of the new breed of DJs in Denmark who is resident at Group Therapy + Cool In The Pool.
We serve unlimited free Tuborg Gold from the bars before midnight. Let’s enjoy this moment, happy 12th birthday!
