Who says the struggle for equality can’t involve partying like there’s no tomorrow? On the verge of the International Women’s Day, Culture Box wants to mix fighting with pleasure by presenting a lineup consisting solely of women and non-binary DJs.
Curating the lineup in Black Box is Future Female Sounds, a booking agency and non-profit organization dedicated to promote female talent and make DJ’ing accessible to girls, womxn, and non-binary people on a global scale. Presenting a mix of upcoming DJs and nightlife legends from their roster, Black Box is sure to be sizzling all night long with the tunes of Sakena Ali, Sara Vita & Claudia Smith, DJ LoveCatt, and Emma Schack.
In Red Box ANNÆLIX and James Lotion will share the decks for an all-nighter not soon to be forgotten. A producer and DJ with a penchant for groovy deep house and melodic playful techno, ANNÆLIX is also a key member of Folkets Haus, a party concept designed to mix raves with political activism. And her partner in crime for the night is no stranger to fusing politics with tunes either. Co-founder of the queer and trans DJ collective SWEAT, who hosts parties and events with focus on uplifting queer and trans artists, James Lotion is always dedicated to setting the dance floor in motion.
Last but not least, our next door cocktail bar Box 54 will host a preparty featuring fresh new DJs affiliated with Future Female Sounds. Don’t forget to swing by!
