On Saturday 15 March Mousan Corr is back behind the booth, when What Happens host their monthly night at Culture Box. Learn how she fell in love with electronic music and got started DJing.
How did you first fall in love with electronic music?
What inspired you to start DJing?
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing some truly amazing DJs perform at various clubs and festivals. The love and energy that music can bring is incredibly inspiring. The connection created between people on the dance floor is something special. I wanted to share my passion for electronic music with others, so after some contemplation, I reached out to a friend last year to discuss my aspirations. I was ready to make my dream a reality and start DJing. He introduced me to the DJ Academy at Lydudlejning on Vesterbro, and I thought, “This is it!” Just a few days later, I began my journey, and now here I am – it’s been absolutely fantastic!
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received in your music journey so far?
That mistakes are an integral part of the learning process. Instead of letting them discourage you, view them as opportunities to grow and refine your craft.
You’re playing at What Happens at Culture Box on Saturday, March 15. What are your expectations for the night?
I’m expecting a night filled with good vibes and wonderful people! The lineup is amazing, and I’m really looking forward to playing at Culture Box again. I always set high expectations for myself and strive to bring magic to the dance floor.
