PRACTICE SESSION JOURNAL: MATTEO

On Tuesdays we offer open practice sessions in our Red Box. Yesterday Matteo aka Coockrit came by and we had a small chat after his session.
For how long have you been DJing?
I have practiced this passion for 6 years now.
What’s your taste in music?
I love melodic house, but also tech house once in a while.
What did you practice today?
I always practice with new melodic or house music tracks, to test the sound of it. I also tried my own track called “Flute”, to hear if it needed to be adjusted in some way.
What worked well for you today?
My listening skills are much better today, and I have to say thanks to Culture Box for the opportunity for these practice sessions.
What do you need to practice more?
I think I need to practice sequencing of tracks more, and inserting the right key, but I think I’m almost there.
Based on today’s practice do you have any notes to yourself?
After today and also after each practice session I’m more and more confident on entertaining an audience. I will never stop believing in this passion of mine.
