FACES OF CULTURE BOX: ANIKA

With our Faces of Culture Box-series we’re profiling good friends of the house, staff and regulars who all participate in making our venue a vibrant and stimulating affair. You’ve probably seen Anika working the bar, she’s one of Culture Box’s cherished head bartenders. Get to know her just a little better in this small interview we did.
Staff position: Head bartender
Age: 25
Study: Bachelor student at University College Copenhagen, Textile Design and Communication
I started working at Culture Box in… September of 2019.
I work at Culture Box because… I truly enjoy the music and atmosphere in the club, and after having worked there for quite a while, every time I walk in the club, whether it is in the daytime or at night, while working or as a guest, I feel at home.
My favourite things to do, when I’m off work… is organizing my photo albums, singing and dancing along to Kate Bush, drawing and painting, whether it’s on paper or the walls, going on trips in nature, watching weird art house films with my fiancé, going out dancing, either with my loved ones or alone, crocheting, drinking wine, and sleeping.
My best Culture Box memory… is when my family came to visit me at the club while I was on shift. I expected my sister and her boyfriend to enjoy the party, but as far as for my parents, I was convinced they would leave at around midnight, but they actually ended up staying and partying till 5 am, which was such a blast to witness.
I prepare for a shift by… resting as much as I possibly can.
